What can I expect in the first appointment?

The first appointment is an opportunity to talk about what brought you to therapy and how therapy can be helpful. Think of it as a "getting to know you" appointment. Romina places an emphasis on creating a supportive and non judgmental space for clients. 

Couples therapy begins with a shared appointment to talk about the couple relationship and goals for therapy followed by two individual appointments that let each person share their experience more in depth with Romina. This process is discussed and explained in the initial appointment. When working with couples Romina places an emphasis on ensuring that each person feels supported and respected in treatment. 

 

Is therapy covered by insurance?

 Romina Ursu, LCSW is a licensed out of network provider with most insurance plans and can provide you with the necessary super bill to submit to your insurance plan for out of network reimbursement. 

Romina Ursu, LCSW also accepts private pay clients who do not have coverage or do not wish to use their insurance for services. Payment is accepted by card, Zelle, and Venmo.

Romina Ursu, LCSW is an in network provider with Wellfleet insurance.

 

Does Romina offer in person appointments?

        Appointments are currently virtual using HIPAA compliant Zoom or Doxy and are available to                 clients in New York and North Carolina. 

Virtual appointments give you the flexibility to fit therapy into your busy schedule. 

 

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

When you schedule an initial consultation with Romina, you will receive a 20 minute complimentary appointment to discuss your needs and determine if therapy can be helpful for you.
