Education and Training
Romina earned her Masters in Social Work at New York University in 2004 where she completed internships at the Hudson Guild Agency and Veritas Treatment Center in New York City. After graduating, Romina worked at NYU Langone Hospital and Bellevue Hospital Center while she continued her training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family, completing a four year externship in couples and family therapy. During this time, Romina also served as a voluntary faculty member at the NYU Child Study Center where she supervised outpatient family therapy services in the NYU Family Studies Program.
Clinical Experience
Romina has worked in community psychiatric programs, corporate medical offices, outpatient therapy clinics, medical and psychiatric hospital programs, and an employee assistance program.
From 2009-2011, Romina served as Program Director of the Home Based Crisis Intervention Program at Bellevue Hospital where she supervised clinical services and collaborated with inpatient units, hospital emergency rooms, schools, and community agencies to optimize mental health care for families and children.
From 2011-2018, Romina supervised a clinical team of medical residents at the NYU Child Study Center, instructing them in family systems work and supervising their practice of family therapy.
From 2013-2015, Romina served as the psychological consultant at the Port Authority of NY and NJ, working closely with the medical office to provide services throughout the organization.
Romina established her full time private practice in 2015 and brings her years of experience and passion for therapy to her work with individuals and couples. In addition to using research backed treatment methods in her work, Romina also uses her intuition, creativity, and empathy to engage and support clients.
